Our planet is a seriously fascinating place, the extreme differences from north to south and east to west make it an extremely diverse place to live, you can travel the globe and come across so many different types of weather, cultures, animals and cuisines. We happen to be just the right distance from the sun to enable us to survive, gravity stops us floating away, we can breathe the air........So many different things factor into making earth habitable, and the human race have made the most of what our planet has to offer. Some would argue we have spoilt it, but let's not go there! Every now and again though Mother Nature gives us a reality check and let's us know exactly who is in charge, and for the most part, it isn't us.
